Our program focuses on the holistic wellness and career readiness of young adult women.

Holistic health is an approach to wellness that simultaneously addresses the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual components of health. (stkate.edu). At Stillness In Selah, we believe that all aspects of a woman’s life deserve attention and care in order for her to thrive in every stage of life.

  • Spiritual Wellness

    • Our Spiritual Wellness Program features Discipleship Meetings. These are peer-led Bible study events where we dive into the word of God and have genuine conversations about navigating life from a Christ-centered point of view. We aim to provide every women that we serve with the tools that they need to enhance their walk with Christ such as Bibles, Journals, Writing Utensils, Devotionals, Books, access to conferences and events that will enhance this part of their life, and more! We also aim to host other program events such as Prayer Walks, and Worship Nights.​​ (*IP)

  • Mental Wellness

    • With SIS having been co-founded by a community health advocate and medical professional, our Mental Wellness Program holds a special place in our mission. At the center of this program is the SIS Journaling Club, which hosts monthly meetings led by a mental health expert. These sessions gently guide young women through reflective prompts that encourage self-discovery, stress reduction, and emotional growth in a supportive, no-pressure environment. We believe that when young women care for themselves holistically, their mental health and overall wellbeing are strengthened. (*V, *IP)

  • Physical Wellness

    • Our Physical Wellness Program promotes healthy living through monthly gatherings where members exercise together and participate in workshops led by health experts. Earlier this year, we partnered with a personal trainer to provide guided workout routines, giving the women we serve practical tools to prioritize their physical health. As this program grows, we aim to expand into new areas of wellness by offering walking clubs, hiking excursions, nutritional workshops, and more, helping young women build lifelong habits that keep them strong and healthy.   • Social Wellness

    • The Social Wellness Program helps women build meaningful friendships and healthy social habits that reduce isolation and increase overall happiness. These relationships provide a strong support system that empowers our members to thrive and improve the quality of every aspect of their life. (*IP)

  • Creative Wellness

    • Creative expression is healthy! Whether it be through dancing, drawing, singing, poetry, etc. creativity can boost both mental and physical wellbeing. We aim to provide safe spaces where women can feel safe to express themselves through creative outlets! (*V, *IP)

  • Community Wellness

    • Did you know that volunteering has profound benefits for mental health? Research published by the National Library of Medicine shows that volunteering is linked to better mental and physical health, higher life satisfaction, increased self-esteem, and lower levels of stress and depression. That’s why SIS consistently facilitates volunteer opportunities for our members! We've seen firsthand how serving others transforms not only communities, but also the individuals who give their time and energy. For many women, the barrier isn’t willingness, but simply not knowing where to start. SIS bridges that gap by connecting women to meaningful opportunities that create true impact, both in the community and in their own personal wellbeing.(*IP)

Community Wellness

Our Career Readiness Program helps women build the skills, resources, knowledge, and experiences necessary to thrive in the workforce. Whether transitioning from student life into a career or shifting into a new field, we provide the guidance and tools needed to take the next step with confidence.

  • Career Readiness Workshops

    • A key feature of this program is our Expert-Led Career Workshops, designed to address essential areas of professional development. Led by industry professionals, these sessions provide members with practical, up-to-date knowledge that prepares them for the ever-evolving job market. Previous workshops have included topics such as Resume Building and Organization, equipping women with tools they can immediately apply to their career journeys. This year, our goal is to keep the momentum going by providing 2 expert led workshops as well as helpful materials to the women that we serve! (*V)
